Image position is not maintained when switching between product options

I don’t know if it’s a bug or an update, but the image position is not maintained when switching between product options.
Previously, when switching between product options, the image position was maintained, but currently it is no longer maintained, showing the first image.

The example page does the same thing. When you have the second image selected and change to another “Storage” option, the displayed image returns to the first image.
In this case, would this be the current way the page works and not a bug?

Yes, that is how it is designed.

If you look at the Google sheet containing variants, you will see that each variant has its own set of images. When you change the variant, the images load again from the first one.

I understand your request. Some websites do not change image position, as you suggested. In our observation, most of them reloads the page when you change a variant and thus the image position restores to the first image.

We will watch out for customer feedback on this aspect.
