The update button doesnt seem to update the domain name and keeps resetting to blank. Attached a screencapture for better understanding.

Seems to be an API error

Thank you

Hi Asish,

I am sorry this is happening in your store. The issue started when you cleared the custom domain, and the configuration was not cleared properly.

I have reset the custom domain configs now. Please enter a valid subdomain now, and it should work.

That seems to work, quick question
does the points to name for subdomain has to be cname.store.link or mystorename.store.link
The dashboard seems to recommend the latter one and the doc from help centre suggests the first one.

Hi Asish,

Both should work fine

Doesn’t seem to work, sidenote I have shopify running on main domain

Hi,

There is no need for www here.

Your subdomain is β€œcarlisle.grocerhut.co.uk” and not β€œwww.carlisle.grocerhut.co.uk”, both are different. Please update it in our dashboard, and it should work fine.

Thanks @Shyjal
Is there a possibility for me to point both these to the store link

Sorry Asish,

www.carlisle.grocerhut.co.uk is a second-level subdomain that we cannot support. We could have supported it if it was www.grocerhut.co.uk, like a regular subdomain.

To solve this issue, you could set up custom redirect rules on your domain provider from www.carlisle.grocerhut.co.uk to carlisle.grocerhut.co.uk.
